Baby Clinic for 8 week check ups and immunisations

Strictly by prebooked appoinmtments. 

Well Woman Clinic

Smears & contraceptive services by appointment only.

Well Man Clinic

Wellbeing assessment and prostate check for men over 50 years.

Travel Vacciantion Clinic

You are required to have your vaccinations 4 to 6 weeks prior to travel. Therefore, this is strictly by prebooked appointments only.

If the practice nurse is not available, we will request you to attend a travel vacciantion clinic where you will have to pay for their services.

Postnatal Care 

We provide regular checks, advice and support for you  including your postnatal check @ 6 weeks. 

The Elderly

We seek to provide a routine assessment of patients over 75 years at least annually. This can take place at the surgery or at home.

Young People

Please be assured that everything you say to us (doctors, nurse, receptionists and others) WILL stay confidential. This is our duty. Even if you are under 16, nothing will be said to anyone – parents, relatives, care workers etc. – without your permission. The only justification to disclose anything would be to protect you or someone else from very serious harm. Even in this exceptionally rare situation, we would expect to discuss this with you first.

Phlebetomy

By prebooked appointments only before 2 pm.

 

Health checks

A general health check is available as follows:

NHS Health check

  • aged 40-74 (no other conditions, every 5 years)
  • Well Woman
  • Well Man
  • aged 75 and over (who has not seen a GP in the last year)

General checks will be carried out as follows:

Blood pressure, blood tests (as appropriate), Height and Weight, Lifestyle advice, Tetanus status.

Non-NHS Services

Some services provided are not covered under our contract with the NHS and therefore attract charges. Examples include the following:

  • Medicals for pre-employment, sports and driving requirements (HGV, PSV etc.)
  • Insurance claim forms

The fees charged are based on the British Medical Association (BMA) suggested scales and our reception staff will be happy to advise you about them along with appointment availability.
